Re-assembled Garand

Nice mix of modern and classic styling, I think. (click the pic for a closer look)

That's a Galco Safari Ching Sling. It gives me Ching Sling type action popularized by Colonel Jeff Cooper, without having to mount a 3rd swivel on my 1943 rifle. I have a muzzle brake up front that is more for show than anything. I haven't compared side by side with no brake, but I can't tell much difference on reaquiring targets after firing. And that Super Scout rail from Fulton. The rings are just inexpensive BSA, medium height. I'll get a scope in a bit here and we'll see how she goes. I, of course, saved the original parts and can quickly restore the weapon to what it was on the day I got it.
