Survival

Got the Bear Grylls survival kit.  Don't drink and amazon one-click kids.

That said, it's got some decent stuff in it.  You could do a lot worse on over the counter survival kits.  So I'll throw it in a larger BoB and forget it and it'll prove pretty dang useful someday maybe.

  1. I was just looking at that on Amazon and decided against it, but I don't why because I don't know what makes a good kit. What didn't you like about it?

  3. Meh, Andy. I didn't like it because it was a bit of an impulse buy. It's fine for what it is.

  4. I always think the best survival kits are the ones YOU think about an assemble, with you're own bits and pieces that you know you can rely on. A Leatherman Wave here, a clip folding knife there etc. That having been said, I do own the basic bear grylls survival kit like this one http://www.aboveandbeyond.co.uk/.gerber-bear-grylls-basic-survival-kit_0013658120228.htm, I don't use it on big trips, but it lays about the house and anything that needs doing on a whim there I find a use for it.

I reserve the right to delete patently offensive comments. Or, really, any comment I feel like. Or I might leave a really juicy comment up for private ridicule. Also spammers.

You can always offend hippies in the comment section. Chances are, those will be held up as a proper example...
