10/22

MBtGE bought some extra normal capacity Ruger mags for my Appleseed .22.  Note, those aren't Maryland capacity.  Good thing MBtGE lives in Virginia.  Think I'll pick them up over the Holidaygiving weekend.

Now all I need is the sight adjustment tool from tech-sights.  Dangit, I meant to get that some time ago.  My sights are set for elevation but I wasn't succeeding in working the windage at the range

And one of these things is not like the others in the lefty section of Ruger's firearm offerings.  A lefty Scout.  Thanks for the tip Bubblehead Les.

  1. Bring them to the Eastern WV blogshoot on Dec 3rd! It's time we met anyway so I'm saving ya a spot on the line.

  2. I'm going to the shoot that weekend, also. That Lefty Scout (no, wait, that sounds too Marxist), that Distaff handed Scout would be fun to shoot, if you happened to get yourself an Early Christmas Present (hint, hint, nudge, nudge, wink, wink).

  3. Bring it out, between us I'm sure we'll have enough tools to fix it :-)

  4. I want a right version of it with a big suppressor.

  5. I made all the recommended mods to my 10-22 for Appleseed and I was pretty happy. I was still getting some FTFs and FTEs, so I put in a Volquartsen firing pin and an extractor. I've gone 300 rounds of bulk box ammo with no malfunctions of any kind. And I still haven't cleaned it since before NorthCoastII.

I reserve the right to delete patently offensive comments. Or, really, any comment I feel like. Or I might leave a really juicy comment up for private ridicule. Also spammers.

You can always offend hippies in the comment section. Chances are, those will be held up as a proper example...
