Now that Indiana, this season, is all dried hard pan, like kiln-fired porcelain... I guess Farmer Frank picked the right Autumn to decide to not put a crop in his land his own self...

Yeah, even my wife thinks I'm smart. Whether it was wisdom, a premonition or just plain luck, it was a good decision.
ReplyDeleteIn talking with an insurance friend, this drought is actually a lot worse than what MSM is telling. The insurance guys think it is worse than the dust-bowl years and could prove to be the worst drought in the modern era.
Whatever it is, it's going to be a hard winter for a lot of rural/farm folks this year...
