"If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business -- you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen."
Worse than the Carter malaise speech. In a just world he'd step aside, even now. Just disgusting.
That's the same old inane Elizabeth Warren drivel! What a recycler!
ReplyDeleteEven granting we all had "help", that doesn't mean that you therefore owe EVERYTHING YOU EARNED to the GOVERNMENT AS TAXES.
ReplyDeleteWe all had a teacher or somebody, but we had to apply what was learned. I can only hope that as my SIL the Stalinst builds the business with her husband she begins to see what portion was help from others and government and what portion was the result of dint of her own labor.
They are TOTALLY out of control...
ReplyDeleteWorse yet: He has got it exactly backwards.
ReplyDeleteThis country became successful because of successful businessmen. They helped pay for teachers salaries. They created our system based on innovation. Who do you think paid the workers, who paid the taxes, that paid for the roads and bridges.
Successful people did that.
DESPITE government always trying to take credit and get in the way.
