There can be no peace...

... between our two peoples.

Reading this NYTimes editorial and most associated comments is entertaining for those with more than 2 brain cells to rub together.  See if you can pick out the factual innacuracies and diffentiate them with more misleading, but technically true, points.

They just don't see the world the same way we do.  Two plus two in their heads just does not come out to four.  Our only hope is render them harmless to themselves and others.  Or at least others.  How to do that without overstapping is beyond me.  Aside from what we are doing.  Trying to educate people, call the other side on their lies and obfuscations, and engaging in the political process.  How long before we can safely say their insanity is mostly marginalized?  Not in my lifetime, I think...

  1. Nope, it'll take a LONG time, or a major war on US soil to wake those idjits up...

  2. You have stated my fears precisely. Even if we could ground zero Education, TSA, DoEnergy, FDA etc, fire 10 million .gov employees, and re-write our legal system, we would STILL be 2 generations from having it fixed. I see no way through this w/o dis-enfranchising about half the country. Their mere existence guarantees our grandkids America won't be the land of freedom we know & love.

  3. I've many acquaintances of the Liberal persuasion. They are incapable of rational thought.
The phrase "Math is hard!" could be joined by history, physics, chemistry, economics ...
I see no solution this side of Heinlein's Crazy Years.
Off to clean rifle and sharpen bayonet. (Yes, Mr. O, bayonet.)

Sadly I agree. Our "education" system pumps out these folks faster than those who love liberty can educate people.

They are incapable of rational thought, and while a reformed liberal is possible, those who do "wake up" to liberty are too few in number to change the overall trend.

I reserve the right to delete patently offensive comments. Or, really, any comment I feel like. Or I might leave a really juicy comment up for private ridicule. Also spammers.

You can always offend hippies in the comment section. Chances are, those will be held up as a proper example...
