Range December 28

Bleh.

No change, no improvement.

I had some things I wanted to work on.

Trigger finger at the crease of the finger for the placement.

Front sight

Pin back each shot then reset.

Go slow and relax

Most importantly "before the trigger break, don't move the pistol."  Pretty simple, that.

It worked... sorta?  Sorta not, too.  It's like I can see it, but I can't gel into it.  The place I need to instinctively be.

Two few to the left of the centerline and none from the second round to tres.  Hmph, again.  I prescribed more dryfire the night before because that might help the "before the trigger break, don't move the pistol" goal.

  1. "Pin back each shot then reset."

If there was one habit I wish I'd never picked up, it would be that one. I have spent a lot of time and ammo fixing that one stupid bad habit.

Makes a lot of sense in long range rifle shooting. Makes some sense in extremely slow-fire precision pistol work. It absolutely ruins your shooting if you plan on firing multiple shots quickly.

  2. Yeah, I know about the minuses of that, too. I have a feeling I will have to go through the same thing.

And my initial instinct was to reset during recoil. "No, no, line up on target, then reset." Hmph.

I reserve the right to delete patently offensive comments. Or, really, any comment I feel like. Or I might leave a really juicy comment up for private ridicule. Also spammers.

You can always offend hippies in the comment section. Chances are, those will be held up as a proper example...
