I got to shoot a cylinder-full of them in a Smith and Wesson model 53. Impressive muzzle flash. But even with the charging holes swapped out with lighter fluid and then dried, and the same treatment given to the outside of the cartridges, the gun still locked up after two or three shots.

Apparently, it shot much like the .22 TCM does, which IS available in both 1911 and rifle platforms.
