I do know that if you can get eggs directly from the henhouse that were laid the morning you cook them, there is a BIG difference in flavor. I never found the flavor survived the trip through the warehouse to the grocery store, at least for ordinary white-shelled eggs. I guess I'm going to have to buy the organic free-range brown eggs to see if for those eggs the flavor survives the trip. Gee, thanks, NJT! ;)

Buy local. The folk that raise chickens always have fresher eggs for sale far cheaper than you'll find at the big box. Just rinse 'em.
