Shot Near You

Here is an important interactive map.  You can use it to determine what you should be carrying in an area.  Is your standard CCW pistol adequate, or maybe you should unlimber your trunk gun.

I don't think they meant for us to use it, but, use it we will.

    I looked up my old home town of Ames, Iowa.

    There's a death listed. http://www.gunviolencearchive.org/incident/362319

    The Victim is listed as unharmed and the perpetrator is listed as killed. They're using the correct terminology for a defensive shooting anyways. Perhaps there's hope.

    Of course on all of them that are fatalities it lists "Shot-Dead (murder, accidental, suicide)"
