Scrood
I live in the "You're Screwed!" bubble. If this was Chicago or Buffalo it wouldn't be a big deal. The municipalities there can handle the volume. We've already used up our snow removal budget, and they were talking about cutting back on plow hours a couple weeks ago...
I'm here in Springfield, IL in the west part of the "These people should hit the liquor stores" bubble. I'm rather disappointed with this "storm" here. I spent some time in your neighborhood in the mid '80s. If MD folks don't deal with snow any better now than they did then I don't envy you.
To be confident and competent enough with a rifle to be able to hit anything I can see in a Jovian Thunderbolt kind of way.
To be able to defend myself with a handgun.
To perhaps harvest some tasty venison with either a rifle or a shotgun, any skin or antler is just a nice bonus, here.
And, if necessary: To Defend the Ramparts of Democracy from a Level 4 Zombie Outbreak or against the Jacobin, Rampaging, Godless, Red-Commie Hordes (or their modern equivalent.)
"You never select a shotgun as your primary anti-zombie firearm. It's great for onesy twosey, but zombies travel in hordes. The reload time is onerous, and the ammo, while effective, is heavy and bulky and short ranged."
Big Mistake for Her
If Ginsberg had let Scalia put the words "strict scrutiny" in Heller and Hillary said "Gun control is just not going to be a priority for my administration," Hillary would have been elected President.

The grocer stores look like they were looted by crowds that thought the owner owed them money, AND had slapped their first born across the jowls.
At least you'll have a sunny day on Sunday to dig out and thank God it's not blowing around and drifting like it does out here.
Heh "these people should hit the liquor stores" is right on.
I did just that, although by the time I got off work it was already snowing so I almost didn't make it in time.
Looks like we're gonna get hammered again tonight / tomorrow.
