Well into the 1970s, it was a right of passage for journalists to cover wars. Many reporters in the 50s and 60s had covered WW2 and Korea, the next generation cut their teeth in Vietnam. Like society as a whole, there is a gulf between reporters and all things military today.
Disagree. You want those reporters backing you up or someone you care about when things get hot?
I think all people who don't know what they are talking about should just shut up. That would at least give us peace from reporters and almost all politicians.
