The old .32ACP and .380 ACPs used to be very respected weapons. Heck, Teddy Roosevelt armed the NYPD with .32s when he was Police commissioner there. What changed was modern medicine. Up until WW2 there were no antibiotics. A solid hit with a small caliber cartridge was usually fatal, eventually. Everyone knew this. Therefore most crooks would do more to avoid getting shot than they do now.
Good ones, and having a real one of those posters WOULD be great!
