Some of you readers carry a full size pistol in an IWB holster at 4 O'Clock or 8 O'Clock respectively.
You've been carrying it that way, all day, so that it has become second nature. You just deal, and everything works out fine.
I have a question for you.
When sitting in a chair or in your car, how do you deal with the poke-poke nature of that pistol butt sticking out, hooking and catching on things, forcing you to sit funny. Or does it?
Do you alter your method if you know you are driving cross country for hours and hours? That sort of thing.

I tend to move mine to 3 o'clock. That way it's right above the seat belt buckle, if I need to get it quickly and exit the vehicle. The other option for long drives is a cross draw, if you have one of those in inventory.
What about the office chair?
I carry just slightly aft of 4 o'clock with an IWBH and 4 o'clock with an OWB holster. I simply don't notice the HG being carried once its in place and go for holsters that tuck the HG grip into the body rather than kicking it outward.
Additionally I keep some form of weighty item in each side pocket of a jacket to keep it in place and purchase jackets and shirts with longer tails.
In the vehicle I've found an ankle holster is easily accessed or I place a gun in the drivers door map pocket. I've also secured a holster between the center console and drivers seat.

I changed to a shoulder holster for car-carry because my center console doesn't have hardly any gap for an IWB to ride. Frustratingly, there's lots of room at the 9-o'clock side, but no holsters.

I have spent all day in a tiny 2-seat roadster with wrap-around buckets. (4 hours round trip today driving up to see Gail & Mas and the Sand Burr crew and then back home) No, I've never had any problem with it. No, I don't shift it or move it or use a special car gun or holster. I just wear a comfortable holster in a comfortable position and I wear it there every day.
I carry 3:30, a full size double stack in an IWB. Its one of the hybrid holsters with some crosses on the belt clips, and it had a large enough piece of leather between the body and the gun that it makes it suck less.
Now if it were hours and hours in a German two seater (ala Tam) I don't know that I could do it in comfort, but I suspect its more of an issue of not being that accustomed to it. Then unlike her I don't wear mine every day all day. My work is verboten to it, and while I dont like it, I do like my paycheck.
I do drive a Japanese two seat sports car (Miata) but a few hours in that can kink my spine regardless of gun/holster/whatever :)
In an office chair its less of a comfort issue, just lean slightly forward and dont rest your back on the back of the chair (A good plan anyways to feign alertness) and its a non issue.
Part of the whole equation is if you do it every day you get more comfortable with it each day as your body learns that its there. When you stop it become uncomfortable again similar to wearing a watch or wedding ring.

That's what I was looking for. A 'you'll get used to it, ok' testimony.
Like my company would ever allow it...
I'm a lefty so I carry at 9 o clock. The fortunate thing is it doesn't dig in and the seat belt isn't a problem.
