fontishness

Oh no! Brigid at Mausers and Muffins changed her blog look. Now it will be harder to read her at work.

That's what I like about black font on a white background. It doesn't SCREAM "Using the Internet at work!!!!"

Gray on light, like Tam and Denise is ok for me.

White letters on a black background has a workaround. Hit Ctrl-A to highlight everything and you can inverse the color. I do THAT at home, as white on black strains my eyes almost as bad and blue on red. Xavier and Armed School Teacher have white on black. LabRat got away from the black background and I can't thank em enough

But parchment beige is hard to hide. Like Trailers, and War On Guns. Dang it.

I'm with you on the dark background with light text. it almost causes physical pain and when I switch away from it, I have to let my eyes rest for a few minutes to recover before I can see much of anything.

Some people say they use that color scheme because it's easier to read...not for me.

I read most blogs through a reader that I can control the fonts and colors. When I stumble across a link to a blog with those offending color schemes, I simply don't read them. It's just not worth it.

Good to know I'm not the only one that this bothers.

You can take overide control of the background and font type/size.

What browser do you use?

The new background on my screen is cream colored. I didn't think it was dark, but maybe that's just how I look at it. It might look darker on other computers. If you like, I can email you your daily blog fix in black and white. :-)

It's not DARK it's just obviously not work related, Brigid.

And I use the browser the company makes me use, JB.

Whenever I see a blog with the dreaded black background/white font, I think of Ann Rule books or perhaps the covers of heavy metal CD's.
