They'll be at Pittsburgh, and you'll be able to test drive them there.
Buy it! Now!
I've been looking for some other grips for my BAG Day 642. What makes these ones so exceptional?
I'm a big fan of the VZ grips I got for my 1911s. Those feel so good, seem rugged, and grip as well as hogues it seems without the worry of them catching on clothes like rubber grips can.
Tam turned me onto them.
My main issue with the stock ones is that they aren't beefy enough for me to hang on to. They really need to be a little bit thicker/rounder, or possibly cover the backstrap. Unfortunately all the aftermarket ones I've seen that cover the backstrap also extend past the bottom of the frame, compromising the concealability, and anything that is simply thicker but still with an open backstrap can't really be evaluated over the internet...
I need some slim VZ grips on my compact 1911. Been meaning to for a while.
I know what you mean, Bluesun. Would that the stock Hogue grips that covered the back strap and gave purchase to every finger of my hand actually WORK in pocket carry. My current grips are a similar geometry to these VZ grips, so I am accustomed to the shape if not entirely happy about it the necessity.
