They are contemplating a new law where you need to pass a NICs background check to purchase ammunition.
What a bother. I guess no more home delivery. I wish they'd have contemplated this at a time when ammo was plentiful. My strategy would be have thousands of rounds shipped right now. And in the future buy in bulk in Virginia. If the law passes I guess I'll just have to do the latter when supply catches up with all the demand.

good luck with that. no ammo at the inn. try the cops, sometimes they have a stash.
You could get a private mail box in a neighboring state and have it shipped there. I do that because I live in the boonies and delivery trucks have trouble finding my house, but it works for other reasons too.
NY tried that, then they found out running NICS checks on ammo purchases would be illegal. Being they did not have a system in place to run their own checks, that part of the law has been on hold since shortly after the NY S.A.F.E. Act was passed in 2013.
I forgot about that.
The reason CA could do it is they have their own system...

Good luck with that. Most companies will refuse to ship to an alternate address if the buyer's funding source shows an address in a restricted state.
