Interesting Take
This is an interesting take on the gun control movement. It theorizes that the terrorist attacks had a negative impact on gun control attitudes. People realized that leading a harmless non-violent life, living and let live, doesn't guarantee reciprocity from that that would cause harm, is the theory. Not just from fanatic murdering foreigners, but people could rationally extrapolate to domestic victimizers, too. And taking control of one's self-defense made more sense to more people.

Yeah, but I still wouldn't let my guard down. From the Cleveland Plain dealer, 28 October 2011: "...Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine (R) hopes a Task Force he formed this summer will identify those most likely to commit gun crimes and then make recommendations to the Legislature on new State Laws to stop them....As a U.S. Senator, DeWine tried several times to close the "Gun Show Loophole" by requiring background checks for all firearms sold at shows. He said the Task Force would not be addressing the "Loophole" issue. "I think that would be highly unlikely in the current Legislature," DeWine said."
DeWine has a history of Advocating for TIGHTER Gun Laws as a member of the Ohio and U.S. Senate. The NRA endorsed DeWine's Democratic opponent, incumbent Richard Cordray, in last fall's Attorney General Race."
BTW, his son is the Head of the Ohio Republican Party.
Moral of the Story? Don't let your guard down, even if your State lets you walk out the door with all the Guns you can carry from the Gun Show.
