Heard some db from the Brady Bunch on the radio claiming that "all" the recent court cases were only giving the nod to having a gun in the home, not in "the public parks, on public streets" etc. At least he didn't say "blood in the streets", but he did imply same.
I'm guesstimating this will go to the Supremes in the 2013/2014 cycle, myself. Maryland HAS to Fight it, because too many States have the same policies. And it goes to the Core of the AntiGunners Mindset: "Shall we ALLOW the Peons to be Armed? Of Course Not! They might Shoot Us!"
And it will be fought using Maryland State Tax Dollars, also.
But I'm going ALL IN on the Alans and the SAF winning .
I live in the DMV area on the Virginia side and I feel sad for the residents of the state of Maryland. I ask myself why people choose to live in a state that is in a constant effort to destroy their freedoms? The only answer I can come up with is the delicious crabs.
Fight on citizens of Maryland, this Virginia resident is pulling for you!
Patrick - some of us are stuck here for the time being. I assure you, if I could easily pick up and move right this instant I would.
That said, Maryland's decision to fight this tooth and nail isn't much of a surprise, but I really, truly hope they realize they're not going to win. It's just a shame they're wasting more and more money on it, since the state can't afford that kind of money sink.
Maryland is and has always been my home. I love it. So I stay and fight for it.
More power to ya, man. I need out of here.
Sad, but not really unexpected... dammit...
