Scroll down. Look at the picture that shows the back of the pistol. Third picture down. THAT. THAT is why I'd not buy a Taurus for myself. Or keep one if I got it for free. Look at that dog's breakfast. Did they machine it with dull nippers? Yick.
"Oh but they are only $150 and all 4 of my Tauri work great, and they have a great warranty system if one does break, NJT!"
So? (And I know they are more than $150, but even if they were $5 I wouldn't keep one. Not even as a bury-gun-in-case-the-Feds-go-rogue.)
[update: Whoa, I didn't see the comments over on the OP article. Lots of people displeased with Taurus over there. But they DID add a better picture of the back end of the Taurus that makes the gun look better than the one pic I referred to. Check it out. Yeah, better, but it still looks pretty rough.]

Now there is a LCR in .32 Magnum.
There are people who like revolvers but don't like the recoil of airweight
.38 snubs. Many opt for .22s. The .32 is well...

MSRP: $539.00?
Buy a Glock.
See? There is that too.
Or an M&P. Kool-Aid tastes great...
Springfield Xd's are running about the same as Glocks and S+Ws in my neck of the Woods, so why bother with Taurus?
That is ugly and leaves an impression that the gun is poorly made. Agree with JB Miller - there's a lot of nicer guns out there for that price.
I had the same thought when I first read that article. I couldn't believe how rough those edges were.
Then I started wondering if the action of the slide cut those rough edges in profile when the pistol was was fired and the slide cycled. But that doesn't seem reasonable either.
Regardless, those are some really rough edges there.....

That and what appears to be waaaay out of kilter sight dots. I have one Taurus revolver that I bought 15 years ago and it works fine, but the fit and finish make me not want to get another even if it "works." That and a friend having a 0% success rate with about a half dozen of them.
I wonder if there are brands that people post the problems about and brands that people keep quiet about the problems.
I often hear of many problems with well known and respected brands but the people don't post pictures, don't seem to think it is a major deal.
Nor do people seem to think it is worth spreading around; like if a 1911 had to go back to the Company X's factory; well that is just to be expected. Let a Taurus have a problem and everyone is jumping on the bandwagon to spread the bad news.
Perception bias perhaps?
Indeed it is tres-Ug with an applied layer of Ug-riffic.
One of the reasons I bought The BadBad Thing was she has a really beautiful ass.
