• Childbirth, various, death to mother or child or both
• Diarrhea
• Infection
• Tuberculosis
• Being an infant, very dangerous
• Small Pox
• Bad teeth

And Edema and Convulsions from something, probably another cause.  Lots of the little ones also end up really being part of the above.
