Something seemed fishy. I couldn't quite place it. My fault though. My eyes kept skipping over an important detail I will now highlight so I won't forget it.
Mohamed Noor, who joined the department in March 2015, reached over and shot Justine Damond, 40, multiple times from the passenger seat of his squad car while she spoke to his colleague on the drivers side in a back alley.
I figured one shot and an AD/ND.
Now I know why I had a sense of disquiet.

Did you notice that she was talking to the driver and the shooter was the passenger - it appears to me that the shooter was shooting across the inside of the car, past his partner, and out of his partner's window (since I haven't seen a reference to any broken windows). I bet that spooked and worried his partner!
We could ask the partner, but he can't hear us right now.
Minneapolis PD would appear to have screening and training problems.

Once again, police show why it is unwise to call for them to show up. This is not the first time they have killed the person who called them. Calling them, for ANY reason, is fraught with peril. Don't bother, unless it is already a life-or-death situation. Because it will become that category when they arrive.
Remember the old standard, often seen on patrol cars: "To Protect and Serve"? Long gone. Most were forced to remove it, due to lawsuits based on the implied promise.
