That does it.
If guns are the new yoga then this shooting hobby has jumped the shark, nuked the fridge even, and is officially too trendy. I gotta sell off all my stuff and get a new past time. Anyone want a couple shipping containers full of MREs? They're up at my zombie bunker.
Zen my Aunt Fanny. Ok, maybe...

You need a little Zen in your shooting.
Be the bullet...
The need for focus, proper breathing, etc., may be like yoga, but the "BANG!" when you pull the trigger is much more fun.
Ommm. Ommm. Oh, just get on the Bandwagon and try to be "Cool" and "Hip" and "With It" for a change.
Besides, some of those Yoga Shooting Ladies are Single.
And if nothing else, you get to practice your Counter Intelligence Skills, because you'll have to deal with all their "AntiGun" friends. Never hurts to "Know Thy Enemy."
Think of it this way: Imagine some nice Single Lady is at the Range, having trouble with her Ruger Mk.3, and she leans her head out from the next stall and says "Excuse me, but my Pistol seems to be jammed up. Can you help me?"
Would you help her, then go out for Coffee later perhaps?
Or would you rather have Tam yell at you for not practicing enough?
Thank God I'm married and love my Wife.
And you probably never read Plaxco and you'll probably always be a lousy shot:-)
Zen and the Art of Rifle Maintenance...
There are those in the rifle-instructing community who speak of "the rifleman's bubble", an allusion to the zen-like concentration you need to shoot well, which some men in combat have reported.
Of course, when you're shooting .22 and that guy next to you opens up with .300 Win Mag WITH muzzle brake, that's sure to burst your "rifleman's bubble" and "really harsh your shooting zen".
We have to have confidence that however they come to the shooting sport, women will find it enjoyable and be offended at all the cant and hyperbole directed at shooters, becoming 2nd Amendment supporters.
I recall a woman at a Sierra Club event a few years ago who said she found pistol shooting to be "empowering".
New? I think I was saying this back in my Livejournal days.
Also, I forgot to add...Ann Althouse can bite me.
Didn't Ann Althouse vote for Carter II?
