Popular GOP Maryland Governor Larry Hogan is running for re-election in a very Democrat state.  He has a good chance of winning.  Something rare enough around these parts

 He is publicly eschewing NRA support.  Gun rights advocacy doesn't yield you a lotta votes around here.

I understand it, but I am still disappointed.

(Plus.  What if he is really and truly anti-gun?)

But I can't imagine he'd be worse than a Democrat in ushering gun control through the Statehouse then eagerly signing the bill.  There is a better chance Larry Hogan might veto some stuff after re-election.  Even if he is a lil bit gun banner.
