Geeze, he looks like every off duty cop I knew in the '70s. 'Cept the rifle. Everyone who watched SWAT (and who didn't?) knew the bayonet lug goes down!
That picture could have been me in the seventies, if I had shaved my beard and gotten a haircut. I think I would have noticed that the photographer's prop gun was messed up though.
To be confident and competent enough with a rifle to be able to hit anything I can see in a Jovian Thunderbolt kind of way.
To be able to defend myself with a handgun.
To perhaps harvest some tasty venison with either a rifle or a shotgun, any skin or antler is just a nice bonus, here.
And, if necessary: To Defend the Ramparts of Democracy from a Level 4 Zombie Outbreak or against the Jacobin, Rampaging, Godless, Red-Commie Hordes (or their modern equivalent.)
"You never select a shotgun as your primary anti-zombie firearm. It's great for onesy twosey, but zombies travel in hordes. The reload time is onerous, and the ammo, while effective, is heavy and bulky and short ranged."
Big Mistake for Her
If Ginsberg had let Scalia put the words "strict scrutiny" in Heller and Hillary said "Gun control is just not going to be a priority for my administration," Hillary would have been elected President.

You know, you'd have to work really hard to put the front sight on upside down.
Poor guy's looking at the world through shit-colored glasses. Give him a break.
Is he Morticia Addams' conservative brother?
Dee Dee Dee Dum *snap snap*
Kinda hard to aim with that configuration.
LOL Where are his shoes??
What ISN'T wrong with this picture?
Yeah, it's from the '70s. You know how I can tell? The Bayonet Lug wasn't removed. "BUT YOU WEREN'T THERE, MAN! YOU WEREN'T THERE!"
Oh yes I was, man. Oh yes I was...
LOL, I certainly wonder how the heck that he got the gas tube to work in that configuration.
But still, looking past the rose colored hippy goggles, look at his eyes...you can just tell that he is a stone cold operator!
I shared the link on Facebook and a friend said this guy is a genius because he figured out how to counter bullet drop.
You've heard of an over under shotgun?
This is an underAR.
Wow.
Shouldn't he be out hitchhiking somewhere with an acoustic guitar slung on his back?

Hey now, I've had one of those since the 70's myself. My wife likes the porn star look ;)
"This is my rubber rifle. There are many like it, but I'm fairly certain this is the one I found at the surplus store."

LANA!

So do you have turn the bolt carrier group upside down to have the gas tube enter from below? How does that work?
All you guys missed the Huey Newton chair. If only this guy had a spear as well as the rifle.
... Just sight along the edge of the bayonet ... for a razor sharp sight picture!
"This is what happens when you give guns to Liberals."
Aside from that one little detail, that's a very realistic-looking fake '16.
@Breda
You made me chortle
I used to wear glasses like that (frame style, not lens color). I think they're from the Sally Jessy collection.
