The Reaper looks promising. It has reach but not a lot of weight.
I know that the machete is said to be an excellent melee weapon, but I don't want my hand to get that close to a Z while I'm swinging for his neck.
I know it looks all mall ninja, but I prefer a katana when dealing with the undead. It has reach and good slicing ability. And I like the option of using a melee weapon two-handed because I assume that when I'm fighting zombies, I'm already quite fatigued.
A katana and a rifle -- that's it. Some zombie hunter outfit themselves with multiple firearms and melee weapons, but that extra weight will just slow you down and tire you out.
