What caliber for reindeer?

You hunt deer with rifles, often.  Flying critters with shotguns.  What is appropo for flying reindeer?  Just the 00 buck?

Why do you think Santa wears a bright red suit? They didn't have blaze orange back when he got started, and he didn't want hunters taking potshots at his reindeer and possibly hitting him! Leave them reindeer alone, or kids all over the world will rise up and GIT YOU!

I'm thinking either a 40mm Bofors or a ZSU-23.

180 grain Nosler Partitions in a 30-06 Springfield will take out any size reindeer, even the red nosed one.

Belt-fed .30, either an M60 or a 1919A6 on a pintle mount. Anti-Aircraft sights are a help.
