Working on a Savage 99

At the gunsmith shop.  Under supervision.  The goal is to get the barrel replaced.  And what I've done is remove everything from it that can be removed.

Last step, today, remove the receiver from the barrel. 

Oh golly, I will need more than just the assembly manual to get those parts back in place when done...
