Spent in the basement of our suburban townhouse watching these shows on a Heathkit color TV my father built.
It bring up a certain kind of nostalgia, different from other nostalgias. If there is a heaven, parts of it will be reliving 1970s television on that ugly sofa, seeing these show again for the first time.
I don't remember Flying High at all though. Not in a 9 year olds' wheelhouse. More.
So MUCH television, so little time back then. Stuff that obviously didn't survive a first season.

Yesterday at work about did in my legs.
It should have been no big deal. I've done it dozens of times: we

I have Centennial on DVD. I think it is time to watch it again. Out of the old school miniseries, it is my favorite.
I graduated from high school in 1978. It was interesting to look back and see what they were offering back then. And how some of the things that they aired then, and gave a chance to make it, would not even have a shot today.
Of course, some of the stuff was pretty derivative, but some television from back then actually was worth watching. When compared to the crap that is on today, I would much rather go back to that programming. At least they were not afraid to try new things, even if it was crap. It was better than the Kardashians, or the reality series that they show that is anything but reality.
