Indian War History

This one is too small.  But wait... is it a series?  Could be seven 130 page books.  Naw... seems too shirt-rendy in the description.

This one is too big

Maybe this one, but I will miss t.he brutal conflicts pre-revolution.  I like The West, but earlier frontier work is also important

Well, THIS sounds exciting:  Blood on the Ohio: Frontier Tales of Terror

One by American Heritage.

Here is a an overview at least i have not read it Chronicle of the Indian Wars: From Colonial Times to Wounded Knee Hardcover – January 1, 1993
by Alan Axelrod (Author) it is 11.00 on amazon prime. For the War with the Sioux and Cheyenne 7th Calvary is Bugle Banner and War Bonnets. It is pretty good. nez pierce war. I Will Fight No More Forever: Chief Joseph and the Nez Perce War Paperback – June 28, 2000 by Merrill D. Beal (Author). You kind of have to pick a region and or a time frame. there is no complete overview that i know of. For SW try Apache Tactics 1830–86 (Elite) All books are on amazon. I am in Montana So I know about this area. The Nez Perce war was a fighting retreat from western Idaho down through northern Yellowstone park to Canada 1200 miles and they got stopped about 42 miles from Canada. Sorry this is so long but it is very broad subject.
