If you listent to the Bureau of Land Management, every single western forest fire has been because of gunnies (hey a new angle for gun bans!) There has been discussion on whether is was pistol or rifles, tracers or steel core bullets.
Looks like ONE case was due to some idiots shooting off Dragons' Breath incendiary shotgun rounds into the brush.

Hell, they burned up 21,000 acres themselves here in NC on a "controlled" burn.
I guess we're lucky that they kept it under control...
The anti-gun agenda of the Forest Service has been on display for quite a while.
How hard would it be for a "True Believer" to talk themselves into setting fires for the greater good? There are bound to be a few sociopaths on their payroll, who would do the job for free (or who would pay for the privilege).
I don't buy the lead or copper bullets sparking on rocks yet, but a steel core could possibly do it. But Dragon's Breath shells? That is a monumental case of teh stoopids!
