Well, I don't like the mandatory part. But, Representative Richmond, let's negotiate. I'll sell the US government one of my 'assault weapons'. See? Art of the compromise. You get one of 400 millions guns off the 'street' (but I never leave it outside). I get a little folding money to add to my savings account.
The price is $3,000,000. That's cheap. Just wait til you hear what some other gun owners are gonna ask you for. Lemme know.

You left off at least 6 zeros.
Second one I sell them will have them extra zeros.
Hard to "buyback" when the State never owned my guns to begin with.
Why can't we seem to get a 2A advocate on the pundit circuit to knock down this sort of low hanging fruit - and righteously mock the gun control cabal??
I don't care what they want to call it as long as the $3,000,000 check don't bounce. They can call it Snoopy and the Red Baron.
We're dealing with people who think a confiscation where money changes hands is a Buyback. They also think nothing of encouraging inflation while also claiming to help the people who have nothing that can inflate in value while they sleep. They will be glad to "buyback" your never-owned-by-them firearm for $3,000,000, except when they do, the exchange rate will be $1 to one Italian Lire. and I left 3,000,000 lira as a tip for the restroom attendant in 1991. It was a handy single coin about the size of a quarter.
