One this day

2066 years ago, Gaius Julius Caesar, 55, noted author, Egyptologist, salad maker, and calendar enthusiast, died surrounded by his friends.

Well, maybe not. Converting from the Julian to Gregorian calendar, it would be March 17th.

A Roman calendar converter says that the Ides of Martius in Roman Year 710 would equate to March 13, 44 BC.

So who the hell knows.
