If the minimum wage of 1980 had been updated to follow actual inflation, it would now be over $19 per hour. And that was computed in last year's money.
Every year for decades, we Americans have gotten raises that failed to follow the actual rise in prices, consistently making it harder and harder to get ahead.
Just the facts. The truth shall make ye fret.
