What and who?
20/20 gun thing coming up on the TV soon.
When I was a brand new 2LT in the Army, my CO was going to be interviewed by the (Fort Knox) post newspaper. He told me to follow him and the reporter around and take notes on what he said. At the time, I was thinking, "Why duplicate the effort?"
When the article was published, I found out why. Nearly every quote and most of the text in the article was, shall we say, in error. I was tasked to go over to the reporter in question, show him my notes, and pursue a correction. Which we got in the next issue.
Since then, my policy is not to answer questions from such folks unless I can also record it.
