Hmmm... it has been a long time since I did a complete 1911 tear-down, but I don't recall ever doing that. I remember fumbling with the sear and sear spring.
I'm no 1911 smith, but I remember being all confused about why the trigger wouldn't come OUT once.
Despite doing this before and despite having the instructions in front of me.
